Division of Misson Ministries

The Division of Mission Ministries rejoices in the opportunity to serve the kingdom of God and the Congregational Methodist Church. Our desire is to bring hope and healing to a dark and dying world. The men and women who serve with the Division of Mission Ministries are helping to change our world for Christ through their focused ministry. We believe the measurable success and unprecedented opportunities the Lord has provided for us are the result of commitment to our purpose, our values, our vision and our mission.

PURPOSE (Who We Are)

The Division of Mission Ministries serves the Congregational Methodist Church to promote evangelism of non-Christians, equipping of believers, empowering of leaders, and the planting of churches both within the United States and abroad.

VALUES (What We Believe)

  1. The inspired Word of God should be preached and taught.
  2. Believers should be equipped for and enlisted in ministry.
  3. Leaders must be called and trained if the church is to grow, and
  4. Churches must be planned and planted if the first three values are to become reality.

VISION (What We See)

  1. The Division of Mission Ministries assisting the other divisions of the Congregational Methodist Church to assess, educate, coach, and lead local churches to become healthy, growing bodies.
  2. The planting of local congregations in demographically suitable areas throughout the world.
  3. The training of nationals to take leadership of the mission in their native environments.
  4. The preparation and sending of committed, talented, and entrepreneurial individuals into ministry at home and abroad.
  5. The partnering of our personnel, resources, and training with other organizations that have a common purpose in order to maximize our effectiveness.

MISSION (What We Do)

  1. Pioneer evangelism in areas where there are few, if any, churches.
  2. Teaching, equipping, and gathering people into culturally relevant congregations.
  3. Empowering leaders to assume responsibility for specific ministries.
  4. Planting local churches that become growing, productive, self-sustaining, and capable of evangelism, equipping, and empowering believers. All ministries must be evaluated by their contribution to the realizing of this purpose.
  5. Assist churches in developing and maintaining the health necessary to minister effectively.
