Praise Note: Getting to celebrate the birth of Christ with people we love
Activities:
The semester came to an end and I worked many hours grading final papers, projects and exams. Wesley is also in the process of reaccreditation and the faculty is involved in rewriting objectives and preparing reports for the accreditation committee.
The Introduction to Missions class prepared a lengthy timeline of mission history from the first century to the current year.
Missionary Life and Work class prepared a missionary service for a church for their final project and each member of the class did very well. The presentations were passionately done and well prepared.
The teams going to the strip clubs and bars continued witnessing, giving out tracts, and sharing their testimonies. Some nights were very cold and I admired their perseverance.
I have continued contacts with mission students who are now at Wesley Biblical Seminary. I visited some of them and spoke to others by phone. Emily Smith is working two jobs and going to seminary so she is extremely busy. Karl and Nina Barnes are busy with their twins and Nina continues to health problems with her heart.
Appointments with mission students here have gone well. I especially have enjoyed hearing their mission call stories.
The Wesley Mission Fellowship had more fundraisers in trying to prepare to go to Hungary in the spring. The students have had bake sales, a garage sale, and sold Tupperware and t shirts.
I continue to need your prayers for strength, and wisdom and peace. The Lord is continuing to carry me from day to day.
